Get Your Puppy Started With Toys, The Right Way

Friday, May 27th, 2011

When it comes to puppies, it is perfectly natural for them to want to explore the world around them in their first few weeks of life. This is because, compared to their very first days of life (when their ayes and ears are sealed) the word that opens before them is completely new and full of new experiences. (more…)

Show Off Your Beabull Puppy

Friday, March 25th, 2011

One of the main reasons many people decide to go with a Beabull puppy over other breeds is that they are looking for something unique and special to show their friends when they come over to hang out. Beabulls look a lot different from any other breed of dog people are use to seeing in the neighborhood because they are actually a mixture of a Bulldog and a Beagle. (more…)

Dogs that Watch Television

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

It can be quite a funny sight, finding a dog that enjoys watching television, so if you see your dog viewing the nightly news, you should take a video and share it with your friends.  There is nothing funnier than a dog with human qualities because there is something hilarious about seeing an animal act like a human.  Dogs are generally interested in televisions because they really don’t understand them.  To dogs, a television seems like a window into another room, so they think whatever is on the television is actually in front of them.  The best example of this is when there is a dog on the television.

When there is a dog on TV, or really any other animal for that matter, most dogs start going insane.  They will start barking like crazy and try to let the dog on TV know that this is their territory.  Little do they know, the dog on TV can’t hear them or respond back in any way.  While there is no scientific evidence for this, most people who have dogs would agree that they generally enjoy watching TV.  There is a difference between staring off into space and watching TV, so you should do a little test on your dog to see which activity they are enjoying.  The best thing to put on the television for this test is tennis.  Almost any dog that sees tennis on the TV will start bobbing their head back and forth following the ball as it goes over the net.  Some dogs will even try to snatch the ball off the television and go crazy when they can’t reach it.  It’s actually pretty similar to when a dog chases around a laser pointer.  They know they see something, but they don’t understand it because whenever they think they catch it, it’s not in their paws.

Which Breed of Puppy Brings the Most Laughs?

Monday, February 21st, 2011

The main reason anyone gets a dog is to have a friendly companion around when they are at home.  Everyone needs some company at some point in the day, even if it’s an animal that can’t speak to them.  The American Cocker Spaniel is probably renowned as the friendliest breed of dog around because of how friendly they are with people.  This dog always wants to play with their owner and rarely ever gets in a fight with other dogs.  Cocker Spaniels are very easy to please and are always friendly to new people.  You don’t have to worry about this dog attacking your friends when they come over because all this dog wants is hugs and kisses.

The only reason a Cocker Spaniel would not be happy and making people laugh is when they don’t get enough attention.  If the owner of the dog doesn’t show affection for it, the dog will begin to think there is something wrong with it and then sulk all alone.  As long as the Cocker Spaniel is getting a lot of positive reinforcement, it is likely that it will never face any sad times.  This breed of dog is perfect for children because both kids and Cocker Spaniels want to do nothing but play all day.  The only breed of dog that might be able to compete with the Cocker Spaniel is the Golden Retriever.

The Golden Retriever is pretty similar to the Cocker Spaniel when it comes to personality.  Differences between these two breeds of dog are only obvious when you compare their size and stature.  Golden Retrievers will be much larger than Cocker Spaniels, which can be either a good or a bad thing.  You will be happy with choosing either one of these dogs for your home, and the only thing to consider when picking one over the other is how big you want your dog to be.
