The Beabull

Overview
The Beabull is another hybrid which comes from breeding the Beagle and the English Bulldog. Beabulls can have the recognizable wrinkles and underbite of the English Bulldog or the large brown eyes and longer snout of the Beagle. The colors of this breed vary from white, red or fawn, white and tan or a mixture of these colors.

Like many hybrid breeds, not all Beabulls have the same appearance, temperament or needs as the next. These certain aspects will depend on the breed of each parent as well as the breed percentage of each parent. The following information is a general description and should be used to help you decide if a Beabull puppy would be the best fit for your family and lifestyle.

Temperament of Beabulls
To know the temperament of Beabulls, it is important to understand that of the Beagle and English Bulldog. Beagles are known hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell and dedication to follow that scent wherever it may lead them. Both breeds are known for their occasional stubbornness requiring a strong “pack” leader for training. However, like the English Bulldog, Beagles are loyal and affectionate which carries through to the Beabull. Beabulls need the same guidance and regular training to counteract their stubborn tendencies.

Beabulls also have the energy of both breeds and need regular walks or play time to keep them healthy both physically and mentally. Their affection and loyalty make Beabulls wonderful family pets for adults and children alike. Early socialization is important for your Beabull puppy to allow them to accept new pets and people easily.

When you are looking to buy a Beabull puppy, be sure you take all of their needs into consideration to ensure you, and your new puppy, will be happy with your lifestyle.

General Care of Beabulls
The Beabull has a short, smooth coat similar to the Beagle and English Bulldog which requires very little grooming. Occasional baths and regular combing with a rubber brush or glove to remove loose, dead hair will be sufficient to keep your Beabull’s coat looking shiny and healthy.

If your Beabull has the wrinkles of the English Bulldog, these will need to be kept clean and dry to avoid infections and rashes from forming in the creases. Ensuring your Beabull is completely dry after a bath or playing in the rain will keep this issue at bay.

Like their Bulldog ancestors, Beabulls can suffer from respiratory problems because of their short, smashed-in snouts. The shape of their face can cause heavy breathing and loud snoring which could develop into more serious issues.

Regular check-ups at the veterinarian will allow you to catch any health issues that may arise before they become a serious problem.
